About Us

This website was created to honour the memory of Brandon Crisp, a fifteen year old boy from Barrie, Ontario who died October 13th, 2008. Brandon ran away from home after a dispute with his parents and met with his death hours there after with a fall from a dead tree.
His runaway incident from a heat of the moment family situation is one that many could relate to, the tragic outcome was not. For this reason it touched a community, a country and families from around the world.
Brandon’s story was one that made us all, parents and children alike, sit up and take stock of how we are leading our lives and the common problems many families are faced with in our rapidly changing world.
It is truly sad that it takes unfortunate tragedies like these to open our eyes, as we all try to do the best for our families.
Brandon will always be remembered for helping so many to do so.
The Crisp family hopes this website will serve as a reminder that love and life should never be taken for granted and that family is the most precious thing we all will ever have. Hug your family often and let them know how much you love them.
The money donated to the Brandon Crisp Endowment will allow deserving children the many benefits of participating in organized sports through the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program. Money donated in ongoing fundraising efforts to support this cause will be used to directly support the children of your respective communities.
All donations made online over $20.00 will receive a charitable donation receipt.
If you would like to organize a fundraiser in memory of Brandon Crisp please contact us to discuss and we can add it to our list of events on this website.
